Not-so-lucky St. Patrick's Day

I thought we did everything right. We started our St. Patrick's Day off with Lucky Charms and lots of green clothing. (Well, Barry forgot but he pinned some broccoli to his shirt!) Not only did we fail to find a pot of gold that day, but C.J. somehow broke his leg at the sitter's.

We thought it was a sprained ankle or toe, and when he still wouldn't put any weight on his leg the next day, Barry took him to the doctor. Turns out he broke both bones in his lower leg. He was a brave little trooper and is getting used to his cast. He can even crawl around a bit. Hopefully he won't have too many more broken bones in his lifetime!

  2. I'm glad to see that he got the appropriate cast color!! Poor little guy . . . I can't stop thinking about him. Oh - and Barry - you're supposed to EAT broccoli, not WEAR it!

  4. Yes, he is not in any pain anymore... just irritated by the bulkiness of the cast.

  5. Poor guy! Luckily they heal fast at this age. Daniel broke his leg at 9 months old. These things happen - don't feel bad. ;)
